The Slim Air Refiner
Smoke Grey is between batches. Every sleeve is handmade in West Ipswich and the next run is already underway. Be first to know when it's back, or Daintree Green and Outback Orange are ready to ship today.
Engineered for the tighter spaces the OG cannot reach. Two Slims in every Duo, splittable across two locations. Same coconut-shell activated charcoal. Same handmade build. A narrower profile that fits where moisture and odour build up most.
Fridges, drawers, canopies, rooftop tents, boat storage, wardrobes, walk-in robes, ensuite bathrooms, behind appliances, anywhere a Slim profile gives you reach the OG cannot.
Both Air Refiners do the same job. They absorb moisture and neutralise odours naturally using activated coconut-shell charcoal. The difference is size and coverage.
The OG Air Refiner is our original. Bigger, chunkier, and built for larger spaces. Think caravans, boat cabins, bedrooms, living areas, and anywhere that needs serious coverage. One OG covers approximately 15 to 20m² under normal conditions.
The Slim Air Refiner is built for tighter spaces. Narrower profile, designed to slide into drawers, wardrobes, shoe racks, fridges, canopy drawers, and anywhere the OG would not fit. Each Slim covers up to approximately 10m². Two Slims together roughly equal one OG.
Still not sure? A good rule of thumb is this. If you can see the space clearly and it is an open room or cabin, go the OG. If you are targeting a specific enclosed spot like a drawer or a boot of a car, go the Slim. Many customers end up with both.
Each Slim covers up to approximately 10m². Two Slims together roughly equal the coverage of one OG.
Once a month, place each Slim in direct sunlight for 1 to 2 hours. The sun's energy purges what the charcoal has been holding. Then place it back where you need it. No refills, ever.
Filled with high-quality coconut-shell activated charcoal. Outer fabric made from recycled post-consumer plastic bottles. Every Air Refiner is handmade in our West Ipswich warehouse.
Flat rate $12 shipping Australia-wide. Orders placed before 11am AEST are dispatched same day. 30-day money back guarantee, no questions asked.
The Duo splits across two locations. Fridge and bathroom. Cab and canopy. Wardrobe and ensuite. Each Slim works at full capacity on its own.
Microscopic charcoal pores draw moisture and odour from any enclosed space. No power, no fragrance, no fuss.
Monthly sunlight session purges what the charcoal has been holding. No refills. No consumables. Up to two years.
BUILT FOR
THE TIGHT SPOTS.
Where the OG is too bulky and a fridge or wardrobe needs help, the Slim slides in and gets to work.

Put one in my work car which I was always using some sort of air freshener to cover the smell but within a week there’s no smell in my car and don’t need air fresheners
Absolutely love the slimline model, perfect size to throw in your fridge, bag, cab of your car or anywhere you need it. Personally leave mine in my fridge to get rid of that musky smell, works wonders.
Great service - arrived promptly. Really well presented product. Have only had the bags a few weeks so too soon to tell re longevity but works well so far. Oh, and easy to hang - makes it easy to use.
Great product. Place them in shoes to help with the smell.
My linen press now smells fresh
Wardrobes and understair storage smell fresher
Great for cupboards
We are full time travellers and we have 21 Captains air refiners all through the van, including the fridge and washing machine. We have never had a problem with excess moisture or mould. I highly recommend
These air refiners are great for absorbing moisture and stale smells. Have several around my motor home and may get a few more. Excellent value due to long lasting.
I was really surprised at how well they work, I now no longer have the dodgy smell on our lounge, or in the carpeted areas of the house. Highly recommended 👍
Bought for smelling dark office. Seems great. Used all 3 though. Really need the pink ones, as well ( if I’m honest). Missed out 😳. I can wait👍😎.
Amazing didn’t believe till I tried it. Even with my fridge on 👌10/10
Little too early because of a big moisture issue being dealt with in bathroom but I can say the cupboard is no way near as it was feeling damp, bedrooms nothing extra is happening so that is a plus, we are in a old house but I would definitely purchase more. So much better than the standard plastic containers that have to constantly be replaced and look terrible so yes very happy 😊
Seams to bevery good product time will tell
An excellent product! We are very pleased with them and will recommend them to others!
Love this product
These 21 captains slim air refiners are ideal for wardrobes and cupboards. They are elegant, well made, longer lasting and good value. These items are better than the throw away humidity bags I use now.
Seems to work well
I bought a few of these because my place is very damp due to high rainfall. I have never been able to get rid of the wet tile/grout smell in my bathroom, even from when it was first renovated. Smell totally gone now...totally! I am sold.
I've placed these in the bedrooms during the winter months, and where it has previously smelt musty, it now smells fresh (and I haven't cleaned the room, yet!). Very impressed by how quickly they work!
We’ve had our 21 Captains Air Refiners for a little over two weeks now, and we’ve noticed a massive difference. The biggest change has been in the cupboards where we store our clothes and especially in the bathroom. The moisture and odour have noticeably decreased, and everything just feels fresher
I even asked our 8-year-old if she’d noticed a difference and her response was “Yea, I don’t have to hold my breath in the bathroom anymore.” I’ll agree with her on that one!
We’ve been really impressed with the difference they’ve made in such a short amount of time. So much so that I’ll definitely be buying more for the canopy of the truck.
Pretty bloody happy with them!
A couple of days before my 21 Captains arrived I had guests who had used the kitchen cooking something I don’t usually cook and leaving a lingering smell - I hung the slim satchell up and next day the odour had gone! The van now has one and the larger units I ordered are now in the shed protecting the contents. Really happy with how they work and quality of the sewing.
I purchased a couple of air refiners for an elderly family member; an OG and Slim. Their home always had that smell often associated with Nursing Homes. I wanted to avoid chemicals and I have finally found the answer to this annoying problem. There have been no nasty odours since the refiners were placed in their bedroom and bathroom. I’ve also asked others if they can tell the difference - a resounding yes! One of the best purchase I have made. Thank you 21Captains
There’s a small mould growing on the ceiling in my bathroom, and if you don’t remove it straight away, it seems to grow bigger and bigger every day. So, I decided to do a little experiment. I hung OG Refiner next to it, and it’s been almost two weeks now and surprisingly, the mould is still the same size. Thank you so much!
Seems to work really well and looks much nicer compared to our previous moisture absorbers. So grateful for the minimal upkeep too.
First time ordering, have placed 6 in wardrobes and store cupboard in the house, and 2 in our caravan as soon as they arrived, have full confidence they will do a great job as advertised.
Much easier to use than my old refillable containers, and love that the sun will recharge them.
I have set the 1st of each month as the day to place them out in the sun.
Will definitely recommend.
We travel full time in a caravan, keeping the van condensation out of the van is a challenge. Purchased 21Captains to keep mould away and keeps washing machine from getting damp smell. Sun bake once a month and they have lasted 12 months so far and still like brand new. I also love how this is a Aussie small business. Also use for 4WD with fishing gear and Ute canopy.
These are a amazing bit of gear. Works great and will be definitely be getting more for the canopy and rooftop tent
I bought a few of the slim 21 captains. I put one under the stairs where our cats have 2 litter trays. It has that peculiar litter smell no matter what I do. But guess what! I added a slim one. NO PONG OR SMELL ANYMORE. Truly. I am so pleased. Of course our cats don’t care but I am thrilled. So a big 5 star rating to 21Captain. Great products. Worth every cent. Will be buying more.
I’ll be back for more of these beauties, surprised how quickly they work. Thanks heaps 21Captains
Arrived quickly, well packaged.
